Re: Mariner serial number chart I checked on this chart, My serial number does not really jive, Mine is 5316614, It's not really on the list, According to this chart it comes up to an early 80's 175hp, Unless someone has changed the decals this is not correct, It says 150 V6 all over it, Now I'm really confused, If I buy this how will i ever find the correct parts for it? Feb 22, 2014  So, a couple of questions- where iis the serial number located, and what is the ID plate made of- is it an aluminium plate riveted to the clamp bracket, or is it just a sticker? Can you verify this serial number is the same as the number on the engine block- there is an aluminium ID disc embedded in the side of the engine block. Click
